Dentists must treat with compassion, said Dr. I.V.Rao, the Honourable Vice Chancellor of Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences, Andhra Pradesh. Speaking at St. Joseph Dental College, Eluru, he appealed to the young graduates of the Class of 2005 to treat patients with compassion and follow ethics in profession. He also advised the graduates to pursue Master’s degree and bring laurels to the institute. Dr.I.V.Rao was the chief guest at the 4th Convocation at St. Joseph Dental College, Eluru. He appreciated the past pupils who secured State Ranks in the last PG Entrance. Earlier in the evening, the Vice Chancellor addressed the staff members and advised to make sure that the weak students are given extra attention. Most Rev. Dr. Mallavarapu Prakash, the chairman of the College also appealed to the students to follow the values of compassion and love. Dr.KJ Ramesh, the Principal made the graduates swear the Hippocratic Oath and the Vice chancellor gave away the certificates. Fr. Bala, who earlier welcomed the gathering appreciated the presence of the parents in big numbers and announced the name of the Best Outgoing student of the batch of 2005. The medal was awarded to Dr. Silpa and the Batch Topper Gold medal was awarded to N.Sowjanya. The programme was concluded with a gala cultural programme and a sumptuous dinner.
